Talk about location!

BIG4 Maroochy Palms Holiday Village is right opposite the Maroochy River boat ramp and close to the heart of Maroochydore, making it the perfect holiday destination. The pretty and well equipped park holds almost 200 caravan and camping sites with an additional 35 villas - and the park continues to grow. It’s not called BIG4 Maroochy Palms for nothing, either. The grassy van sites are framed by lush palm trees, leaving no doubt in your mind you are now on holidays.

The ensuite caravan sites enjoy privacy and convenience but if you are using the amenities block, you’ll be pleased to know they were spotless.

The park hosts are friendly and willing to help in any way. You can even order a hot breakfast to be delivered to your villa or site, or if you want to cook up a storm, take advantage of the clean camp kitchen and the many BBQ huts spotted around the park.

The colourful and comfortable villas are bordered by palms and plants, offering privacy. There are deluxe spa villas, two-bedroom deluxe villas, one-bedroom villas, one-bedroom budget villas and open-plan Riverview villas. All the villas excluding Riverview boast full kitchen facilities.

Maroochy Palms is perfectly catered for kids. They’ll hardly want to leave the holiday village, even with Australia Zoo only 30km away. There’s a seemingly endless list of facilities: a games room with pool table, pin ball machine, table tennis, video games, plus- one for all ages I believe- an air hockey table.

That’s just the indoor fun.

The tot’s pool comes complete with a mushroom waterfall and on the grounds there’s a large shaded play equipment area, a nine hole putting green, a giant jumping pillow, basketball hoop, soccer net and hop scotch area. As if that isn’t enough, during the school holidays the Kid’s Club runs for children aged between three and 12. The kids are supervised by a qualified child carer. There’s painting, crafts, cooking, movie nights and outdoor games, even a new trackless ‘train’ to cart the kids around the park during the school holidays.

But it’s not all for the kids.

The resort style pool is very inviting with plenty of pool side lounges to relax in. For real indulgence there is even an onsite masseur! Get active in the gym or have a hit of tennis in the free to use courts.

An environmental lake can be found at the rear of the park and makes for a great picnic spot. Feed the ducks from the feeding platform or try and spot Elvis, the giant eel swimming beneath the water lilies. Follow the board walk around the lake with only the sound of birds to interrupt the peaceful silence.

There are many fantastic facilities on site to keep one occupied but don’t neglect the many natural attractions at the park’s doorstep. Go fishing or just watch the magnificent Queensland sunset settle over the Maroochy River, explore the nearby Glasshouse Mountains or visit the beautiful beaches.

While you are in the area, take advantage of the BIG4 Local Member Benefits. The initiative provides BIG4’s 166,000 Members with discount off local businesses, encouraging them to support local businesses during their holidays. Some of the great Sunshine Coast Region Local Member Benefits include 10 percent discount off at the Australia Zoo souvenir shop and 10 percent discount off lunch and dinners at 7 Acres Restaurant.

Now, excuse me while I lounge by the pool, soaking up the Sunshine Coast....
